Title: AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO LEVY A TAX UPON THE GROSS PROCEEDS DERIVED FROM HOTEL, MOTEL AND BED AND BREAKFAST ROOM RENTALS IN THE COUNTY OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF ANY MUNICIPALITY; TO PROVIDE FOR A PETITION ELECTION ON THE QUESTION OF IMPOSING SUCH A TAX; TO PROVIDE THAT THE TAX SHALL BE COLLECTED BY THE STATE TAX COMMISSION AND PAID TO JACKSON COUNTY; TO PROVIDE FOR THE DISPOSITION AND USE OF THE PROCEEDS FROM SUCH TAX; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
