Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 67-1-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM "QUALIFIED RESORT AREA" FOR PURPOSES OF THE STATE LOCAL OPTION ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL LAW TO INCLUDE LAKE SLIP AWAY DRAGSTRIP AND RESORT IN LEAKE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, IF SUCH DESIGNATION AS A QUALIFIED RESORT AREA IS APPROVED BY A MAJORITY OF THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF LEAKE COUNTY VOTING IN AN ELECTION ON SUCH QUESTION; TO AMEND SECTION 67-1-7, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT ON-PREMISES RETAILER PERMITEES WITHIN CERTAIN LOCATIONS DESIGNATED AS A QUALIFIED RESORT AREA MAY SELL BEER FOR ON-PREMISES CONSUMPTION REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY IN WHICH THE QUALIFIED RESORT AREA IS LOCATED HAS VOTED IN FAVOR OF COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE DRY LAW FOR BEER SALES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
