Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 43-17-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REQUIRE EACH STATE AGENCY TO ESTABLISH RECRUITMENT AND HIRING GOALS THAT TARGET 10% OF CERTAIN JOBS TO BE FILLED WITH RECIPIENTS OF TANF BENEFITS OR FOOD STAMPS; TO PROVIDE THAT WHENEVER A TANF RECIPIENT SEEKS EMPLOYMENT WITH THE STATE EMPLOYMENT SERVICE, THE EMPLOYMENT SECURITY COMMISSION SHALL ENTER THE RECIPIENT IN JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES AND SHALL PROVIDE INTENSIVE JOB DEVELOPMENT AND JOB REFERRAL ASSISTANCE TO THE RECIPIENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
