Title: AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT ANY PERSON WHO IS CONVICTED OF A VIOLATION OF THE UNIFORM CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES LAW OR OF A CRIME OF VIOLENCE, WHERE SUCH CRIME IS A FELONY, SHALL BE INELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE TANF, MEDICAID AND FOOD STAMP BENEFITS AND ANY OTHER TYPE OF WELFARE BENEFITS PROVIDED BY ANY STATE AGENCY; TO PROVIDE THAT THE COURTS SHALL NOT BE AUTHORIZED TO SUSPEND THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT; TO AMEND SECTIONS 41-29-139, 41-29-140, 41-29-142, 41-29-144, 41-29-145, 41-29-147, 41-29-149, 41-29-152, 43-13-115 AND 43-17-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, IN CONFORMITY TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
