Title: AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT PERSONS WHO APPLY FOR A LICENSE ISSUED BY A STATE AGENCY OR FOR STATE-FUNDED PUBLIC ASSISTANCE BENEFITS MUST DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE BEFORE THEY WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THE LICENSE OR THE PUBLIC ASSISTANCE BENEFITS; TO AMEND SECTION 43-13-115 AND 43-17-1, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
