Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 9-1-43, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE LIMITATION WITH RESPECT TO COMPENSATION BY CHANCERY OR CIRCUIT CLERKS OF PERSONS RELATED TO SUCH CLERKS WITHIN THE FIRST DEGREE OF KINSHIP SHALL NOT APPLY TO SUCH PERSONS WHO WERE EMPLOYED IN THE OFFICES OF SUCH CLERKS PRIOR TO JANUARY 1, 1996, AND TO CONFORM SAID LIMITATION ON THE CLERK'S COMPENSATION TO THE PRESENT SALARY OF THE GOVERNOR; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
