Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 71-3-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO ALLOW AN EMPLOYER TO EXEMPT AN EMPLOYEE WHO IS THE PARENT, CHILD OR SPOUSE OF THE EMPLOYER FROM WORKERS' COMPENSATION COVERAGE; TO PROVIDE THAT THE EXEMPTED PARENT, CHILD OR SPOUSE SHALL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES TO DETERMINE IF THE EMPLOYER IS SUBJECT TO THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION LAW; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
