Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 27-65-75, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE STATE'S SALES TAX REVENUE SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE COUNTIES OF THE STATE BASED ON THE PROPORTION THAT EACH COUNTY'S POPULATION BEARS TO THE TOTAL POPULATION OF THE STATE; TO REQUIRE COUNTIES TO USE SUCH SALES TAX REVENUE TO DEFRAY THE COST OF ESTABLISHING AND OPERATING A GARBAGE AND/OR RUBBISH COLLECTION AND/OR DISPOSAL SYSTEM; TO AMEND SECTION 19-5-21, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE COUNTIES TO USE SUCH SALES TAX REVENUE TO DEFRAY THE COST OF SUCH COLLECTION AND/OR DISPOSAL SYSTEMS; TO AMEND SECTION 19-5-109, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
